Hey, YOTES, the Dog Days of August are here! Remember those hot days and the 3 a day practice schedule; not knowing if you were going to make it till the next one?

I guess we all did, and we are the better for it. Those days have shaped us and taught us more about ourselves than any class we could have ever taken. The relationships formed then have carried us until this day. We can all be proud of the efforts over the years to honor each other and the memories of the Coyote traditions. In most recent months we have begun a new journey with the Yotes4Life. We have been very clear on the mission and values we want, to build a great future that can be carried into the future generations of the Yote Brotherhood. We are a group that is evolving and changing by the day. The efforts to help the young Yotes find jobs, as well as a listening ear and wise counsel, are beyond valuable. The care and concern we have shown Brothers in need has always been a cornerstone of this organization and that won't change.

I am reminded of a couple of scriptures that truly support the vision and rebirth of our group. I would ask you to read and reflect on them and see if you agree. We ask you for continued support of the vision and support of our Yote families in need of your prayers.

 

Isaiah 43:18-19: "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!" Now this reference was God telling Isaiah he was doing a new thing and not staying in the past. I believe we are also not limited to the past great things we have been able to do, but we have a vision to build a new thing and continue to help all Yotes and their families through every season of life.

 

Philippians 3:13-14: "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal."

We have again paused and given thanks for all the Coyote Brotherhood was and were able to accomplish, but it's time for a new and fresh vision and goals designed to support every stage of the Yote life.

 

Please join us all in lifting up our Yote Brothers and family members who are experiencing health challenges as well as the many life issues that challenge all of us.

Together we can support and encourage each other to press on to the joy of life and relationships we were called to.

Please keep Darrell Vander Esch and his family in your prayers...His daughter is fighting cancer. Also, Dave Hultgren's grandson who is fighting cancer.

Continue to lift up the leadership of the Yotes4Life so that we build the format that serves our families the best way possible. 

Please pray for all the current players and staff to have a great summer camp, stay healthy, and adjust to the new staff as well as all the Freshman getting settled and adjusted to the new life.
